Elder Babbitt became very close to several families in the Rye area. One included this little 5 year old named William. One day, William and Elder Babbitt were playing on the couch, just wrestling a little bit, and Elder Babbitt "sat" on William. William looked at him and said "Why do you love sitting on me so much?" to which Tommy replied that he made a very good seat. William thought about that for a minute, and in all sincerity said "Thank You". " I love you Uncle Babbitt". Since then, he has been "Uncle Babbitt" in their home.
